FIGHT CHURCH had the honor of working another TUFF-N-UFF event tonight. As usual, we headed up the fighter prep area… making sure that fighters hands were getting wrapped, signed off, gloved, etc. It is always fun to be a part of what is going on. Working these events gives us the opportunity to serve the MMA community, build relationships with those who are a part of it and concrete our place in it!
Tonight was special because we were joined by our good friend, Lance Foreman of DOG BOXER and his son, Briggs. They came to help out with the event. As you can see in the photos, Lance was quickly put to work helping wrap hands.
Over all the evening went very well. We saw and spoke with many people. I even had a chance to pray quickly with one fighter before he went out to compete. Many of the fighters and coaches at this event have been interviewed for fightchurch.com or will be shortly. Be sure to check ‘em out!
All the Vegas MMA gyms were well represented at the event and we had our fair share teams coming in from other states.

Fight Church Minnesota report
Fight Church Minnesota was representing at the Rise of the Chosen 2 on Friday night May 18th in Owatonna, Minnesota! The promotion was a mix of amateur and professional fights from all over the Mid-West. Brian Roberts, a Fight Church board member,was at cage-side thanks to Todd Owen of New Life Community (Owatonna High School, 10:30am Sundays, School Street entrance #16) The fights were exciting, with the heavyweight fight, several knock-outs and a submission in the main event stealing the show. There were guest appearances from UFC vet Paul Bradley and UFC and Pride FC vet Travis Wiuff. Brian is working on building relationships with promoters and fighters to help launch the Fight Church gospel ministry in Minnesota. Please pray for continued opportunities to bring the love of Jesus Christ to the MMA Community in Minnesota and Las Vegas.

This past week I had the honor of traveling to Stockton, CA to The Life Church and share with them about FIGHT CHURCH and our MMA Chaplain ministry here in Vegas… Pastor Lance Coffman was an amazing host, everyone at the church was great and I had an incredible time. FIGHT CHURCH helped out with the TUFF-N-UFF event this past Satuday… As always, it was a great event!
This past Saturday, FIGHT CHURCH hooked up with LAS VEGAS MMA and worked the fighter prep area at the EXTREME THING event at Desert Breeze Park. We had 3 volunteers working including me (Josh Boyd), my son (Josiah Boyd) and our good friend Rex Romero.
This was our first time working with LAS VEGAS MMA and we had a great time. Most of the local fight teams were there and a few teams from nearby states. This was also our first time working at an outdoor event, which was fun. Everything went super smooth and the event was a success. Our team was able to be a help to the promotion/event while meeting and building relationships with athletes, coaches, etc.
We look forward to working with LAS VEGAS MMA again in the near future and hope to be a part of EXTREME THING next year!
